Repo Man Is Now Considered An Iconic 1980s Movie
It has been four decades since the original release of Repo Man, making this sequel come as a big surprise. Repo Man had trouble at the box office upon its initial release but received widespread acclaim at the time. In the forty years since its release, Repo Man has become even more beloved, and now maintains its status as a cult classic and is widely considered one of the best films to come out of the 1980s.
Losing its memorable cast members could be hard for Repo Man 2 , as it attempts to reinvent itself for the new generation.
Repo Man’s cast is part of what gave it the iconic status that it holds. Estevez played the lead role, with beloved character actor Harry Dean Stanton taking a supporting role. Stanton passed away in 2017, making his participation in the sequel impossible, and Estevez is not starring in the film, at least according to this initial report. Losing its memorable cast members could be hard for Repo Man 2 as it attempts to reinvent itself for the new generation.
