Harry Potter’s iconic owl Hedwig sadly passes when trying to save Harry from Death Eaters during a mission in the 7th movie, Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

Hedwig also dies in the books, however, she is in a cage in the written version as opposed to the live-action adaptation where she goes out fighting for Harry – which inevitably makes it even more heartbreaking.

Although the show is typically a comedy, season 4’s 7th episode dedicated a large amount of screen time showing exactly what Fry’s dog did while waiting for him to return – which was surprisingly more emotional than fans may have expected.

Mufasa’s death in The Lion King hits hard for various reasons, one he is the loving father of the movie’s main character, and another is that he is completely betrayed by his sinister brother Scar.
What made this scene most impactful was the fact his son witnessed the entire ordeal, and when mixing that with the chaos and captivating soundtrack – tears naturally fell from the eyes of millions.
