Twisters Cast
Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell are set to headline the cast of Twister 2, though details about their characters are currently unknown. Rumors suggest that Powell or Edgar-Jones’ characters may have a connection to the characters played by Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton in the original film, but this has not been officially confirmed. The ensemble for Twister 2 also includes Anthony Ramos (In The Heights), Brandon Perea (Nope), and Daryl McCormack (Peaky Blinders).
Despite rumors, Glen Powell has clarified that none of the original cast from the first movie will appear in Twisters, meaning Helen Hunt will not be returning as Dr. Jo Harding. Twisters 2: According to Movie Cafe, the Twister sequel, “Twisters,” is scheduled to be released on July 19, 2024. Principal photography for the film began in Oklahoma City in May 2023, with filming initially expected to conclude by July, as reported by Oklahoma City-based TV station KWTV-DT. However, filming was suspended due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Universal will oversee the American release, while Warner Bros. will handle international distribution.
