By the right of the Jedi Council, it could look like Star Wars actor Cameron Monaghan could make his live-action debut as outcast-turned-Jedi Master Cal Kestis soon, but on one condition.
During a panel at FanExpo Vancouver 2024, Monaghan was asked about his interest in bringing Cal Kestis to a live-action project.
Reported by The Direct, Monaghan stated that in order to do so, the project would “continue the story or the character in some way.”
“I don’t want him to just kind of show up to stand around and be there. I want him to mean something and for there to be a significance for the character itself,” the star continued.
While Lucasfilm is currently focusing on future shows like The Acolyte and The Bad Batch‘s third season, fans have been ever hopeful to see the iconic character from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor make an appearance or at least a cameo.

Some fans predicted that Monaghan would appear as Cal Kestis in Obi-Wan Kenobi given the series’ placement between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
However, with that Disney+ show wrapped up and a second season all in limbo, it’s unlikely as of now.
Although given development on the third Star Wars Jedi game being done, there may still be hope that Lucasfilm and Disney’s interest in the character will allow Cal Kestis’ further integration into future films and series.
