The Star Wars universe is renowned for its immaculate storytelling and amazing cinematic depictions. Creator George Lucas set high standards when Episode IV – A New Hope first hit the movie screens in 1977, but contemporary Star Wars producers such as Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni continue to publish the most captivating Star Wars content. With Star Wars Rebels, The Rise of Skywalker and The Book of Boba Fett, the Star Wars franchise continues to expand and becomes even more interesting. Among the many movies and series, Star Wars has always made it a point to showcase its most iconic duos.
These Star Wars duos are seen throughout the multitude of Star Wars movies and TV shows and exemplify the power of a strong bond in Star Wars. Contrary to the strongest duos in Star Wars, these relationships are characterized by a deep bond and an even better backstory. From Fennec Shand and Boba Fett to Ahsoka and Captain Rex, Star Wars has a lot of compelling duos to offer.
The Star Wars franchise keeps producing exciting TV shows, making it harder for fans to remember every cameo.

Garazeb Orrelios, nicknamed Zeb, and Ezra Bridger have a deep relationship in Star Wars Rebels: a relationship that is initially based in resentment. The first episodes of Star Wars Rebels show the distaste both characters feel for each other’s personalities, with Season 1 of the show slowly featuring this growing bond that Zeb and Ezra build.
By the end of Star Wars Rebels, Zeb and Ezra are close friends, if not more than that, and have each other’s backs in every fight. While there may not be a clear winner between the two successful series, The Book Of Boba Fett managed to do some things better than The Mandalorian.
Fennec Shand and Boba Fett are among the most notorious bounty hunters in all of Star Wars. Both make appearances throughout the franchise, but it isn’t until The Book of Boba Fett that they start becoming a true duo. The Book of Boba Fett reveals the history of both characters, as Boba rescues Fennec during the events of The Mandalorian. Following this rescue, Fennec Shand now feels like she has a debt to pay and becomes Boba’s personal bodyguard.
This connection between Boba Fett and Fennec Shand may appear superficial, but with time, The Book of Boba Fett sees Fennec Shand paying back her debt. After this, she decides to continue her services to Boba, but this time as a loyal friend. Their relationship blossoms and both swear to protect each other, a promise that is central to both their survival during the finale of the TV show.

The Clone Wars is a brilliant Star Wars TV series, as it introduces many fan-favorite characters from the movies. Darth Maul, for example, comes back from the dead and, through his brother, Savage Opress, dominates the later seasons of the show. Savage and Darth Maul form a rock-solid team in The Clone Wars and their respective storylines are phenomenally written.
Although Star Wars fans might wish for Savage Opress to have a little more character development and personality, The Clone Wars still showcases Savage and Maul as one of the best duos in the franchise. Sadly though, Savage’s death in The Clone Wars, Season 5, Episode 16, “The Lawless” marks the end of their time together.

Solo: A Star Wars Story aims to tell the origin of pop culture’s most lovable space scoundrel, but aimlessly meanders in a galaxy far, far away.
Both Han Solo and Chewbacca start off as mere smugglers with the goal of becoming respected characters throughout the galaxy. With time, Han Solo and Chewbacca become established Star Wars characters, and their personal achievements are closely linked to their connection to one another.
Whenever one of them appears on-screen, fans know the other one can’t be far. With such an iconic friendship, it is rather sad that their time together is relatively short-lived when taking the whole Star Wars franchise into consideration. Solo: A Star Wars Story is therefore a perfect extension to their storyline and gives fans the opportunity to explore what makes them such a good duo in Star Wars.
